Q Engineering SMS Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms & Conditions (“SMS Terms”) apply to text messages sent by or on behalf of Q Engineering. By separately opting in to an applicable Q Engineering SMS program, you agree to these SMS Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Program Description

Depending on the consent you provide, Q Engineering may send you:

  • Messages relating to your inquiry, consultation, quotation, appointment, project coordination, scheduling, document requests, or service updates; and

  • Marketing or promotional messages, but only where you have separately opted in to receive those messages.

Marketing consent is separate from consent to receive inquiry or project-related messages.

2. Consent to Receive SMS Messages

By providing your mobile number and selecting the applicable SMS consent checkbox, you authorize Q Engineering to send text messages to the mobile number you provided, including messages sent using automated technology.

Your consent applies only to the types of messages identified at the time you opt in. Providing a telephone number or submitting a contact form without selecting the applicable SMS consent checkbox does not constitute consent to receive recurring SMS messages.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Q Engineering.

You confirm that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided, or that you have authorization to provide consent for that number.

3. Message Frequency

The frequency of inquiry, appointment, project coordination, and service-related messages varies depending on your interactions with Q Engineering and the status of your project.

If you separately opt in to receive marketing or promotional messages, Q Engineering will send no more than four marketing messages per month.

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier and service plan. Q Engineering does not charge a separate fee for participating in its SMS programs.

5. Opting Out

You may withdraw your SMS consent at any time by replying STOP to a Q Engineering text message.

Q Engineering will also treat commonly understood requests such as CANCEL, END, QUIT, or UNSUBSCRIBE as an opt-out request where technically supported.

After an opt-out request, Q Engineering may send one final message confirming that the request has been processed. No additional messages will be sent under that SMS program unless you provide new consent.

To re-subscribe, follow the applicable opt-in process again or reply START where supported.

7. Privacy and Use of Mobile Information

Q Engineering collects and uses mobile numbers, consent records, message history, and related messaging information to operate its SMS programs, respond to inquiries, coordinate services and projects, maintain consent and opt-out records, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

Q Engineering does not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent records with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Q Engineering may disclose limited mobile information to service providers acting on its behalf solely as necessary to deliver and support text messaging, maintain consent records, provide customer service, prevent misuse, or comply with applicable law. These service providers are not authorized to use the information for their own marketing purposes.

8. Message Delivery

Mobile carriers and messaging providers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to carrier availability, network conditions, device settings, and other factors outside Q Engineering’s control.

Q Engineering does not guarantee that every message will be delivered or received within a specific period.

9. Changes to the Program or These Terms

Q Engineering may modify or discontinue an SMS program or update these SMS Terms. The updated date will be displayed at the top of this page.

Where required, Q Engineering will provide additional notice or obtain new consent before materially expanding the type or purpose of messages sent.

11. Governing Law

These SMS Terms are governed by the applicable laws of Ontario and Canada, without limiting any mandatory rights available under applicable consumer, privacy, telecommunications, or electronic messaging laws
