More Homes Built Faster Act

More Homes Built Faster Act

In an effort by the municipal government for the next generation of Ontarians to own a home, new solutions were proposed by Doug Ford. The Ontario government introduced a measure on Tuesday, October 17 dubbed the More Homes, Built Faster Act, which it claims would help “build housing faster and reduce prices down” and enable the Conservatives to reach its target of constructing 1.5 million homes over the next ten years. In certain cases, local zoning regulations would be overdriven and permit the development of up to three units on each residential property. As part of this strategy, the PCs will disregard local zoning regulations in order to permit the construction of more “missing middle” homes without requiring further planning permissions. Q Engineering will be providing its services to help with the transition and abide by all municipal laws to provide the service possible to its clients.
